Natural & Wind Farm Landscapes #2 Collection
Photographs in this collection were shot since the initial photos were taken for a 10 minute movie made entirely from still photographs seen in the previous collection. All the photos except for a tiny percentage were taken in northern Carbon County Wyoming. I shot the movie as the introduction to the Wind Energy and Visual Considerations in Wyoming Workshop that was held at the University of WYoming in June 2009. The movie was again shown at the Governors WInd Energy Symposium in August 2009.
Most of this collection's images were taken since Spring 2010.
Subjects in this collection include natural landscapes and landscapes with human-made elements, wind farms, close-up wind turbine images, ranches and cattle, highways and rivers.
Carbon County is a prime location for wind energy development because of the very positive conditions that exist there for successful electrical wind generation, and is being strongly considered for upwards of 10,000 new wind turbines.
