Two Bison Bulls and one Cow. One large bull is towering over the cow, facing the cow. A bird is flying off of the second bull's back.

The bison are part of a large free-roaming herd on the Zapatta/Medno Ranches operated by the Nature Conservancy. The ranches border on the west of the Great Sand Dunes National Park in the eastern part of the San Luis Valley.
